Project Engineer

Job Responsibilities

Engineer designs to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications

Support early technical scope development

Work with Engineering Manager for all technical aspects of the projects

Perform record search and information gathering at various client site offices

Ensure drawing indexes and drawing lists are kept up to date

Perform engineering calculations for the design

Complete engineering deliverables to Company requirements

Review design drawings for constructability, design and accuracy at 30%, 60%, 90% and 95% design levels

Work with Project Manager to select special design options

Oversees drawings produced by others

Lead and coordinates design for projects

Works closely with assigned designers to develop design drawings for projects

Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling and resolving engineering design and test problems

Directs integration of technical activities and products

Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases

 POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 4-8 years of engineering experience
  • Knowledge of design and visualization software such as Auto CAD and AVEVA E3D
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents; safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to create design drawings
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Minimum BS Degree in Engineering or relevant field experience.
