GHD has an opening for a Regional Project Controls Manager based in our Baton Rouge, Louisiana or Houston, Texas office location. Your role will include inspiring and mentoring your team, resourcing and ensuring great delivery of projects, and responsibility for the performance of the group, all while making key technical contributions to design projects. We are seeking a dynamic person to lead and develop our design team with interests and expertise in developing Total Installed Cost (TIC) estimates, scheduling of projects, and assistance with project performance reporting metrics. We service a variety of clients in the oil & gas, chemicals, pipeline storage facilities, as well as other industries outside of the plant engineering business sector.

� Function as a Project Controls Specialist within a multi-discipline engineering group
� Assist with development and preparation of TIC deliverables through client project funding gates by defining the estimate basis and securing supporting information relative to the targeted estimate accuracy
� Develop project schedules using Primavera P6 and providing updates against the schedule based on progress
� Assist project managers with project cost reporting and tracking of deliverables
� Work within a project controls team that are local to Baton Rouge and residing in other GHD office locations
� Adapt to the engineering and construction culture for each client to ensure work practices and deliverables are managed to high standards and fulfill the commitments made to complete projects
� Work in conjunction with design discipline team members and demonstrate pro-active involvement toward the success of each project
� Attend and participate in project team meetings both internal and with clients
� Act as a GHD representative in performing work to company standards and with the highest regard toward ethical business practices
� Follow and adhere to all plant site safety and administrative procedures
� B.S. degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related Technology program. Relative direct skills can be considered in lieu of education credentials requested.
� 10 plus years of experience from construction and/or engineering environment in support of industrial facilities projects in chemicals, refining, and/or pipeline
� Strong written and verbal communications skills
� Background with estimating software for developing conceptual - definitive cost values
� Strong background in use of scheduling software such as P6 (Preferred) or Microsoft Project
� Should be able to extract project cost data from business enterprise systems
� Hands on proficiency and developed skills in use of Microsoft Excel to create, merge, and update spreadsheets
� Ability to interface with multi-discipline technical disciplines and general understanding within each
� Knowledgeable of and able to read various types of construction drawings and details
� Self-starter, highly motivated, pleasant demeanor, and good interpersonal skills
� Ability to travel as needed to lead and develop the regional project controls team as well as review project scopes and grasp project complexities
� Current TWIC Card is required
