USmax Corporation is seeking a motivated, self-starting individual to support our customer maintaining an Information Assurance (IA) Management Support program.

Position will report to the Information Assurance Service Engineering (IASE) Project Manager. Successful candidate will lead integrated project teams, coordinate and collaborate with other external entities, and perform essential tasking necessary to meet changing customer requirements with our three operational service lines.

  • Represent IASE within cross-functional teams providing management, guidance and support for research and development of new IA/IT services and assessment of existing services for process improvement
  • Manage, coordinate or lead an Engineering Services project from concept to completion
  • Participate in system/security policy and standards development, including writing guidelines, standards, procedures and other technical documentation including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Maintain project artifact directory making sure all project artifacts are generated and collected
  • Work collaboratively with the IA Operational project managers to develop, monitor, and update project plans and schedules so that projects can be executed in the most efficient manner possible
  • Periodically review schedules with the Project Manager to assess impacts to the critical path and critical activities
  • Prepare baseline schedules for approval
  • Work in a team environment
  • Manage the project risk register
  • Prepare briefing materials used to track and report project status and present to the IA Change Control Board (CCB) and management team
  • Assist IASE team members with service line projects and administrative tasks

  • Knowledge of or experience working in an Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) based IT service management (ITSM) lifecycle is required
  • Experience with Change Management (CM) and organizational Change Control Board (CCB) processes is desired
  • Experience implementing the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) best practices is required
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written technical communication and presentation/public speaking skills
  • Experience or knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (NIST SP 800-37) and the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) is desired
  • Strong attention to detail and requirements with the ability to meet project deadlines
  • Minimum 3 years of project scheduling experience using MS Project and experience using Project Server is desired
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and Sharepoint
  • Secret security clearance preferred


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an Information Technology field (experience may be considered in lieu of education)
  • PMP and/or ITIL certification is desired
