Press Ganey currently has an exciting opportunity for a Project Consultant focusing on Perioperative/Surgical Services. This role will support our Strategic Consulting and Professional Services practice area for healthcare facilities nationwide. Our Project Consultants are subject matter experts interested in short and long-term assignments and/or interim management opportunities. This role is in Press Ganey’s Clinical and Operational Improvement service line. As a Project Consultant, the assignments will vary in length, location, and responsibilities. These are determined by the client needs. We offer the opportunity for you to take your years of knowledge and experience and travel around the US to affect patient care.
Project Consultant - Perioperative / Surgical Service Duties & Responsibilities: Travel to our clients around the US providing clinical expertise on consulting engagements and engage in billable consulting activity in partnership with client team members. Manage evolving client expectations, needs, and priorities, and collaborate with client team members to ensure effective integration with consulting and service delivery capabilities and priorities, including database production processes. Conduct interviews with Perioperative/Surgical Services personnel and observe on-site activities and process in the Perioperative/Surgical Services area. Observe Surgery departmental practices to understand operational realities. Manage and monitor client experience and recommend appropriate strategies, tactics, and operational initiatives to continuously enhance client satisfaction. Assist with the development, documentation, and presentation of results to clients. Document findings of the analysis and prepare recommendations for implementation of new systems, procedures, or organizational changes. Attend regular on-site meetings with the client. Ensure quality control of deliverables.
Project Consultant - Perioperative / Surgical Service Qualifications: Ten years or more of progressive healthcare provider organization and/or consulting experience. Minimum five years of management experience in a Surgical Services/Perioperative Department; Directorial experience preferred. Familiarity with Sterile Processing principles and direct management of the Sterile Processing department preferred. Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills. Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and delegate, when appropriate. Ability to direct and motivate members of client project teams. Self-motivator with the ability to work independently. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to positively interact with executives, providers, and staff at all levels. Strong facilitation and presentation skills. Must have significant knowledge of clinical practice standards, procedural trends, and effective operational processes Working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills required. Willingness to travel 100%.
Project Consultant - Perioperative / Surgical Service Education Requirements: Master’s degree in Nursing, healthcare administration, or business administration preferred, bachelor’s degree required. Active Registered Nursing License required. Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) preferred.
