This Supervisor, Group Finance supports the Business by providing timely and accurate financialreporting, analysis and assistance to the Project teams. The role provides thorough compliance and checks-and-balances oversight for all project-specific financial transactions and financialreporting. In addition to their own projects, Group Finance Supervisors assist in compiling data through their teams/assigned areas to conduct broader financial analyses that look at entire business groups in order to evaluate how the business is doing as a whole. The Group Finance Supervisor directly manages Senior Project Accountants, Project Accountants and Assistant Project.

  • Project Team Support and Oversight
  • Manage CTC summary reports
  • CTC and WIP Meeting Attendance
  • Oversight and review of internal budgetbefore locked
  • Oversight of cost move process
  • Oversee rate table creation
  • Oversight of owner bill posting
  • Approve check requests
  • Review contract abstracts
  • Identify potential job write offs 
  • Reporting and Analysis
  • Preparation of WIP- GP profit/loss at the business line level
  • Forecasting model/monthly projections- project level
  • Oversight of weekly AR report
  • Review of time charging reports
  • Supervision
  • Direct supervision of Project Accountants and Senior Project Accountants
  • Liaison between project teams and corporate finance
  • Other projects as assigned


Education and Experience:


  • 7+ years relevant accounting experience
  • Construction Accounting experiencepreferred
  • Undergraduatedegreepreferred (accounting and finance coursework)
  • Advanced degree a plus
  • ERP experience a plus

Skills Required:


  • Technical mastery in the following areas: Understanding cash flow, cost to complete reporting, owner contracts, construction accounting
  • Demonstrated people and team management skills
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels of organization
  • Strong business and project acumen
  • Demonstrated understanding of project accounting concepts and application in a fast paced and changing environment.
  • Ability to support multiple complex projects
  • Experience in managing staff, effective in delegating tasks and managing to deadlines
  • Strong judgment, communication/interpersonal skills
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment, high sense of urgency and ownership of deliverables. Demonstrated ability to manage to deadlines.
