Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree; or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of nine years' experience desired in a programming environment. Object-oriented programming skills in languages and frameworks such as Object-oriented programming skills in languages and frameworks such as ASP.NET, Ajax, MVC 3/4 using Razor Views, JavaScript, JQuery, J2EE, C#, HTML, ASP, and SQL Server, including SSIS and SSRS, required. Additionally, experience with WCF services, REST and SOAP messaging, XML constructs and schemas, service bus architecture, and ETL processes is required. Data warehousing using SQL Server SSAS and SharePoint for business intelligence is recommended.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Writes, reviews, and modifies code for software applications.
  2. Able to run appropriate tests to determine the accuracy of the program logic to produce desired results; debugs and revises code based on test results.
  3. Lead design discussions.
  4. Understand and implement security principles.
  5. Understand service-oriented architecture and implement design patterns in a structured manner.
  6. Conduct research on emerging application development software products, languages and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
  7. Assist in the definition, development and documentation of software’s business requirements objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users and departments.
  8. Demonstrate effective and professional communication with stakeholders.
  9. Mentoring junior team members.
  10. Participate in code reviews, software releases, and system upgrades.
  11. Hold other team members accountable for meeting deadlines.
  12. Develop, enhance and enforce adherence to coding and documentation standards.
  13. Understanding of pharmacy business strategy and how that relates to software solutions.

Language Ability:

Ability to comprehend and apply principles of modern algebra while analyzing data and generating reports.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft products and programming skills in languages and frameworks such as Object-oriented programming skills in languages and frameworks as mentioned. Individual should be familiar with Visual Studio, source control tools such as GIT or Subversion, JIRA, and ServiceNow.
