JOB SUMMARY
: This Programmer Analyst’s role is to assist on managing production releases for Parks Technology. This includes release planning, risk mitigation, process improvement, process automation, metrics definition, quality gate definition and execution, ensure high service availability, analyze usage/customer feedback and take it back to the Release Management team, collaborate on definition and execution of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery process, collaborate with various teams inside and outside Parks Technology, partner with Governance, NBC and IT Security for the CAB process, submit CAB, maintain release calendar, document lessons learned and assist with release communication. The Programmer Analyst should also be responsible for determining release readiness, support delivery teams and assist on transitioning releases to the UPTO team on a fast paced Agile environment.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate in team environments and with vendors, business partners and IT teams on release management processes definition, implementation and measurement. Minimal supervisionrequired.
  • Analyze internal and external processes, document findings, identify areas for improvement and give recommendations to improve release management processes
  • Implement high quality, scalable and extendable metrics to evaluate release health
  • Drive methodologies with business and IT constituents at all levels through a hands-on approach to implement best practices
  • Incident and request development monitoring

EDUCATION:Bachelordegree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or equivalent experience.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in IT, preferred in IT Release Management role
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • User level experience: ServiceNow, SharePoint, Lync, Slack, Webex, and Microsoft suite
  • Experience working in an Agile structured environment
  • Experience working in an Waterfall structured environment

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Formal Release Management experience
  • Admission systems and processes, web-based stores and mobile application
  • Theme Park experience
