Explanation for Position:

The Senior Programmer Analyst will work with a team of developers to support, maintain and enhance TransportationReporting and BI Applications. This position will

support new development efforts as well as maintenance and production support of

assigned applications.

Details of Position:

The Senior Programmer Analyst will provide input, support, and perform full systems

life cycle management activities (e.g., analyses, technical requirements, design,

coding, testing, implementation of systems and applications software, etc.). He/She

will participate in component and data architecture design, technology planning, and

testing for Applications Development (AD) initiatives to meet business requirements.

This position will provide input to applications development project plans and

integrations. The Senior Application Developer will collaborate with teams and

support emerging technologies to ensure effective communication and achievement

of objectives. This position provides knowledge and support for applications

development, integration, and maintenance. Core knowledge areas include

SQL/TSQL (performance tuning and troubleshooting); SSIS (ability to write and

modify SSIS packages), SSAS (ability to develop cube and tabular models); MSBI

(Power BI) and SSRS 2016.

Management Skills:

The individual must be self-motivated and a quick learner with good communication

skills and strong initiative. The ability to work well with others on the team including

the user community and support groups, time management and planning skills are

also required for this position.

Primary Skill:

SSIS (ability to write and modify SSIS packages) - Advanced

Additional Skills:

SQL/TSQL (performance tuning and troubleshooting) - Expert

SSAS (ability to develop cube and tabular models) - Advanced

MSBI (Power BI) - Intermediate

SSRS 2016 - Advanced
