As part of the Information Technology team, is involved in all areas of system development, mentors junior programmers, identifies system requirements and solves problems by use of computers. The Programmer Analyst II works as part of a project team to complete tasks assigned by senior members.
QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems is required. Three or more years of experience as a programmer/analyst in Information Technology. Healthcare/Clinical Research experience is a plus. Must have experience developing software in a Windows environment. Must have experience in web, Perl, JAVA, Visual Basic, XML, SQL, or C++, and reporting tools such as Crystal. Must have advanced experience with developing a customizing complete software solutions. An understanding of UNIX and/or Microsoft Windows 7 operating systems required. Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL-Server) required. Familiarity with object oriented programming required. An understanding of structured System Development Life-Cycle and healthcare/life sciences a plus.
