Program Specialist ( Registered Nurse )
Position Summary - Program Specialist (Registered Nurse):
This position will be responsible for partnering with team members and external stakeholders to develop and implement quality improvement and special project initiatives. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for promoting initiatives to new customers and performing day-to-day project management of assigned programs.
Essential Functions - Program Specialist (Registered Nurse):
Collaborates with team members and other health care professionals to develop, implement and complete quality improvement and special project or corrective action initiatives. This may include technical writing and coordinating the development of materials to fund, promote and support the initiatives. Serves as liaison with internal and external customers to ensure projects, plans and/or products are completed satisfactorily. Serves as a representative of the Company at external client meetings. Promotes company expertise and QI solutions to prospective clients.
Partners with team members and internal/external customers as necessary, to determine and evaluate methods to encourage participation in the quality improvement and/or special project initiatives. Maintains positive relationships with internal and external clients to ensure continued participation.
Monitors project expenses to ensure alignment with budget.
Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned. Requirements - Program Specialist (Registered Nurse):
Current and valid MPH (Masters of Public Health), MHA (Masters of Healthcare Administration) or bachelor’s degree and/or experience in the following areas community health professional, public health professional, clinical health professional.
8 years’ experience in health care with an emphasis in research, and project management.
Strongly Preferred - Program Specialist (Registered Nurse):
Experience with quality measures, clinical environment and healthcare payment reform.
Current and valid RN required.
Additional Comments - Program Specialist (Registered Nurse):
25% - 30% local and overnight travel.
Because of the nature and immediacy of the work, the ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance is essential. Work Environment - Program Specialist (Registered Nurse):
