Job Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day operational activities for the Earned Income Tax Credit Coalition serving 14,000 low-income Cuyahoga County taxpayers on an annual basis

  • Provide coordination and oversight of site agreements and contracts with Coalition partners
  • Provide oversite and coordinate the activities for the Coalition's full-time Volunteer/Community Outreach Coordinator and Operations Manager contractor positions
  • Plan and lead the monthly Steering Committee meetings
  • Cultivate productive relationships with VITA site coordinators and support partners
  • Become a certified VITA Site Coordinator to lead Super Saturday events, be a resource to VITA site coordinators, and respond to individual taxpayer inquires as needed
  • Lead the development and distribution of marketing and outreach materials and conduct presentations that promote the Coalition's services to low income clients, specifically targeting EITC eligible clients and meet the Coalition's volunteer recruitment and retention goals
  • Perform audits to ensure site compliance with all IRS VITA site requirements and make recommendations that address challenges/opportunities as identified
  • Conduct research to support program activities and implementation of best practices
  • Monitor performance, track results, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting for stakeholders and partners
  • Ensure the implementation of an integrated process that provides tax preparation clients access to additional financial capability services during the tax season


Qualifications

Undergraduate degree and at least four (4) years relevant experience; graduate degree may be substituted for up to two (2) years of experience

  • Strong initiative with ability to seek out relevant information prior to making timely decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate complex activities prioritize conflicting demands and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently, solve problems and take responsibility for moving tasks forward with minimal supervision
