The Clinical Sepsis Program Manager is responsible for leading, in partnership with system champions, the development and management of the multidisciplinary system sepsis team, to improve sepsis quality and outcomes across BJC Healthcare. This role will understand trends in best-practice sepsis care locally, regionally, and nationally, and will position BJC Healthcare to align with evolving best-practice care.
Manages system sepsis portfolio of work. Work with system and hospital sepsis champions to identify high-priority issues and performance improvement opportunities for system sepsis team efforts.
Monitor key performance indicators and quality metrics relevant to sepsis across the continuum of care and identify trends and opportunities for performance improvement.
Lead efforts to standardize order sets and clinical pathways/guidelines and improve documentation, in partnership with system and hospital-based clinical champions, CIS, CDI, and Epic1.
Collaborate with hospital-based sepsis teams to ensure dissemination and implementation of evidence-based sepsis care practices, quality reporting, and improvement methodology agreed upon by the system sepsis team.
Participate in development and delivery of oral and written communication to the system sepsis team and other relevant BJC HealthCare stakeholders.
