This position reports into the development organization, managing and tracking all aspects of the area's software release execution. This position creates, manages, and executes development release plans, establishes release scope, cost and price budgeting, deadlines and leads assigning responsibilities. He/she will track the progress of releases and publish status information for development teams, implementation project teams, area management, and senior management. The position coordinates release change management while building working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved with the hardware platforms.

• Is the focal point to develop and execute against release plans, including communicating status reports to key product stakeholders and executives

• Proactively identifies risks and implements mitigation strategies for software releases to all levels within the organization

• Works with teams to overcome roadblocks and impediments

• Demonstrates excellent leadership skills and can motivate and direct teams of indirect resources with minimal supervision

• Holds teams accountable for delivery of committed product release work against established release milestones, confronting issues head-on

• Serves as a liaison between product owners, developers, management and other stakeholders, educating as necessary and fostering quality communications across the organization

• Removes obstacles to enable group efficiency and effectiveness while encouraging teams to have a continuous improvement mindset

• Identifies and implements opportunities for new procedures or process enhancements both within development and across organizations

• Works closely with the company's overall Project Management Office to maintain consistency and drive best practices

• May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned

Qualifications:

The Program Manager has seven or more years of similar work experience in the creation, management, and execution of project plans; outstanding knowledge and skills in Program/Project management theory, principles, and practices required. Practical understanding of and experience in an agile/scrum environment required. A Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in engineering.

Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to manage the development of technical requirements from business requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills working with all levels of the organization, both internally and externally

• Leverage tracking tools such as Microsoft Project or JIRA to drive and track development progress

• Comfortable with building sufficient product knowledge and understanding details along with associated impacts

• Ability to balance and effectively prioritize numerous responsibilities

• Strong use of MS Office; working knowledge of program/project management software

(MS Project etc.) is a strong advantage

• Up to 10% domestic and/or international travel may be required

$80K - $100K
