ROLE of the POSITION

Reporting to the Executive Director of Undergraduate Research, the Program Manager provides high level professional administrative support for the Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR). This position will be responsible for stimulating, supporting, coordinating, and highlighting undergraduate research efforts at UNLV. Specific tasks will include development and management support for undergraduate symposia and professional development and career training activities; communications support for effective promotion of OUR functions and undergraduate research; management support for OUR's undergraduate research journal; and development support for internal and external fund raising efforts to foster and expand undergraduate research.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university and a minimum of 5 years of related administrative or professional experience. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment.

  • Manage and expand OUR's student professional development and career training activities.
  • Manage and expand OUR's undergraduate research symposia.
  • Manage and expand OUR's award and scholarship programs.
  • Manage OUR's communications and community outreach to promote and highlight undergraduate research.
  • Manage and expand OUR's data collection, analysis, reporting, and dissemination infrastructure.
  • Provide assistance to Executive Director in overseeing OUR's undergraduate research journal.
  • Provide assistance to Executive Director in generating grant proposals and other fundraising efforts to support undergraduate research.

SALARY RANGE

Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.
