The Program/Project Manager III is concerned with the top-level planning, direction, and success of multiple major programs, systems, and/or initiatives. They are responsible for all decision making for their programs/contracts. They perform both high-level and day-to-day management of technical and administrative personnel and programs.
Responsible for the overall planning, direction and success of major programs, systems development efforts, and research or technology initiatives which have great significance to the activity’s and agency’s needs, including the responsibility for formulating, guiding, and directing the technical, financial, and programmatic approach. Responsible for frequent communication and negotiation with activity and government pers onnel for necessary financial and contractual requirements. Establishes and controls technical milestones, schedules, budgets and costs. Ensures program compliance with company Quality Management System. Manages and delegates program management functions to one or more Program/Project Managers. Oversees the financial and programmatic planning of one or more government contracts split across one or more facilities.
Must have (15) years professional experience in technical and program/project management, including five (5) years experience in the management of technical projects involving submarine mechanical/electronics/equipment systems.
Must qualify for security clearance. Must be familiar with ISO Quality Management System. Bachelor’s level or above degree in any technical or managerial field.
