Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus. As a Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects. You plan requirements with internalcustomers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders. Your projects often span offices, timezones and hemispheres, and it's your job to keep all the players coordinated on the project's progress and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Manage technology programs with high levels of complexity and scope and be responsible for developing well-defined milestones and success criteria, resource allocation, and successful on-time delivery.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and work with stakeholders to define new processes and update existing processes that drive program success.
  • Track projects and tasks, communicating schedule and technical considerations to executive leadership.
  • Demonstrate performance in resolving highly critical issues within matrix organization while maintaining adherence to project timelines and costs.
  • Operate within and lead cross-functional teams (engineering, product management, implementation, finance, marketing, etc.).
