Job Description:

Overview:

  • Project Manager to support Product Management team. Manages and ensures quality of program deliverables.Works with product management team, product engineering team, external partners, software teams, and program delivery team to drive the development, trial, and deployment of video set-top (STB) devices. Must have knowledge of TV and video technologies, Wi-Fi, MoCA, IP, and hardware security.
  • Work with product management and product engineering to build and deliver PRD and TRD
  • Work with UX, and product management to build and deliver best-in-class STB designs
  • Work with product management and procurement for proposal request, review, and grant for new video STBs
  • Work with external vendor partners, engineering, software development, QA, and trial management teams to establish project plans
  • Monitor and guide the product development team throughout the execution phases
  • Manage product and feature trade-offs with device product management, software product management, finance, engineering, and management teams
  • Prepare, and present project status, issues, escalations to senior members of the executive team 

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree; Preferred in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or similar
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Project Management, in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • 3-5 years in cable / telecom / TV industries
  • Excellent collaboration skills - leading execution across teams, influencing across organizations
  • Demonstrated success managing system integration with external partners
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and manage delivery of projects per business requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, adapt to, and initiate change in a fast pace environment
  • Experience using industry standard development and management tools (MS Project, JIRA & Confluence)

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of digital media and multi-platform distribution with background in media & entertainment industry
  • Self-starter with a combination of product, technical and operational knowledge
  • Proven ability to kick-start new projects and see through to successful product adoption
  • Strong problem-solver who can thrive in complex environments
  • Proven ability to conduct analyses, prepare documents, present actionable recommendations, execute through completion
  • Independent, energetic, technical, and capable of driving for results under pressure and ambiguity
  • Able to handle adverse and unexpected situations in a composed and professional manner
