Duties:

  • Manage the successful technical, schedule, and cost performance for a $20M+ Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP) program
  • Ensure contract compliance to include statement of work, any statutory requirements, and terms and conditions
  • Lead a team of functional/operational support staff to include engineering, contracts, subcontracts, finance, procurement, security, human resources, recruiting, and others as necessary to successfully execute the program
  • Lead a team of subcontractors in support of the program goals (technical and administrative)
  • Meet the fiduciary needs of ASRC Federal in the execution of the program with a focus on revenue, profit, cash flow, and associated forecasting
  • Operate consistent with company values, ethics, policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Manage program risk and communicate accordingly with senior leadership within ASRC Federal and DHS CBP
  • Provide mentorship to subordinates and take time to work with staff on performance feedback, career growth, and retention activities
  • Work collaboratively with ASRC Federal colleagues on intercompany initiatives, growth oriented activities, and strategy development
  • Develop and cultivate relationships within the customer space (CBP, DEA, USCG, and others)
  • Identify opportunity leads and execute organic and non-organic business growth activities

Requirements:

  • Have 12 years of program management experience supporting Government IT Systems with Bachelor's Degree (9-11 with MS / 7-9 with Ph.D.); applicable work experience may be used a substitute for education
  • Ability to be onsite at customer location in Orlando, FL
  • 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
  • Must be available for customer support (i.e., phone calls) between 0630 -- 1700 EST
  • Occasional weekend support may be needed
  • Occasional travel to supported sites across the U.S. will be required
  • Currently possess a CBP background investigation (BI) or be able pass a CBP BI (TS required in the absence of a CBP BI)
  • Experience managing a program with RF and/or HF radio communication systems
  • Experience managing a program with networked IT systems (NOC/SOC/COOP/DR) and associated ITIL processes
  • Experience managing a program with software development, support, and enhancement services
  • Experience managing a program with geographically dispersed people and assets
  • Experience managing a program that required the design and implementation of a next generation IT system
  • PMP

Preferred:

  • ITIL Foundations v3
  • Experience working with land mobile radio and tactical communications
  • Experience working with HF radios (e.g., Rockwell Collins, Harris, and Codan)
  • Experience working with CBP, USCG, DEA, and/or DHS
  • Experience supporting law enforcement missions
