Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Organize, direct and coordinate planning and implementation of all contract and program support activities; overseeing multiple project activities
  • Interface with government personnel
  • Determine and monitor project costs
  • Accomplishes human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures
  • Manage and direct contract personnel to ensure contract objectives and performance standards are met
  • Interpret contracts, policies, purposes, and goals of the organization
  • Identify, acquire, and use resources to achieve project technical objectives
  • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Process improvement

Qualification, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a full course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a Bachelor's Degree, preferably with a major in Information Systems, or a related discipline
  • 10+ years general experience in project/program management
  • Strong experience managing technical teams
  • Experience with the Department of Defense
  • Strong experience with Microsoft SharePoint and Oracle Suite of products
  • Experience with Agile methodology
  • CMMI experiencepreferred
  • Possesses strong understanding in the areas of IT system hardware architecture, database, systems, and software development
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem analysis and problem solving skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work on multiple tasks with limited direction
  • Ability to work as a member on a cross-functional team or independently
