Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Plans and achieves business acceptable financial objectives for orders, sales, gross margin, and cash covering one year, two year, and five year periods.2.Develops strategy, identifies/pursues/captures new business opportunities. Reviews and approves customer requests for proposals. Develops strategy for and concludes negotiations with commercial customers. Develops requests for B&P, TM, IR&D, and PI to support new business opportunities and protect current base of business.3.Maintains regular interface (meetings, telecons, IPT’s, etc.) with customers on key accounts. Ensures customer expectations are met, problems resolved, potential issues surfaced, mitigation plans in place, and potential new orders/business opportunities identified.4.Monitors program performance for schedule, technical soundness, quality, field reliability and financial objectives. Identifies and implements corrective actions, as required. Ensures all programs are reviewed monthly and have risk mitigation plans in place.5.Identifies and assesses problem areas. Develops recovery plans with least impact to business and customer objectives. Secures customer concurrence.6.
Develops working relationships with other functions (engineering, operations, finance, etc.). Provides mentoring to newer personnel in the organization. Communicates with staff on business status/needs.
7.Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures. Supports the implementation of BAE Systems LCM processes.
