Position Summary

Responsible for directing the overall process of integrating acquisitions into Crown Castle’s policies and procedures. Responsible for overseeing and ensuring the timely and effective completion of the various initiatives associated with post-acquisition integration and ensuring that all direct reports are doing the same. Coordinate as needed with all of the functional areas (e.g. Business Support, Finance, Network Real Estate) to define, prioritize, and ensure the effective completion of the integration. For all projects being managed by their respective project managers in support of the acquisition and integration, the program manager is responsible for ensuring that initiatives are appropriately prioritized and that they are being executed relative to established timelines, milestones, and resource allocation determinations.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Ensure that the project coordinators and project managers are managing the timelines, milestones, and resource allocations for all their assigned integration initiatives
  • Act as the escalation point for initiative issues
  • Ensure initiative progress meetings are held regularly and risks are properly identified
  • Monitor integration status and ensure that timelines are updated, resource allocations are modified, and initiatives are re-prioritized as needed
  • Allocate initiative resources effectively to ensure that employees are not overloaded and that they have the capacity to complete projects at any given time
  • Provide regular updates to senior leaders as appropriate
  • Responsible for ensuring all timeframes are managed to the approved projection and any deviations therefrom are communicated and approved as soon as discovered
  • Partner across organization lines with peers in support of cross-functional Crown Castle value initiatives and to collaborate on common management goals
  • Develop and/or improve clear and effective resource management tools
  • Plan for risk and develop strategies for dealing with potential risks
  • Manage the development and maintenance of project management policies and procedures
  • Provide leadership, training, and guidance to project managers
  • Assist and advise project managers and initiative stakeholders on acquisition integration best practices
  • Develop positive relationships with task owners and sponsors to facilitate tracking and reporting on initiatives
  • Possess an understanding of various network documentation systems, order management systems, and operational support systems
  • Possess an ability to comprehend evolving technologies and an ability to develop practices and procedures in support of NetworkEngineering integration
  • Ensure the requirements of the Non-Wireless Engineering teams (Engineering, Provisioning, Service Delivery, Operational Support Systems) are fully represented and factored into decision making process

 

Education/Certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related field required

  • PMP certification, equivalent project management experience, or previous consulting experiencedesired

     

Experience/Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in project management, with a preference for at least ten (10) years in project management developing project management processes, techniques and tools
  • Previous experience managing large, transformational projects and in facilitating change that requires collaboration with senior-level stakeholders
  • Minimum of five (5) years working for a telecommunications company

 

Other Skills/Abilities

  • Thorough knowledge of telecommunications/wireless project management or asset managementpreferred
  • Ability to direct a team by setting goals and priorities to facilitate achievement of organizational objectives
  • Ability to facilitate and influence conversations with senior-level stakeholders
  • Strong computer skills especially Microsoft Office, Word, Excel etc. and Visio
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to large groups of people
  • Ability to diagnose work flow problems and implement remedies
  • Creative, problem solving approach to each initiative deployment and proven experience in successful project outcomes
  • Experience in people management, strategic planning, risk management, and change management
  • Ability to prioritize management of initiatives and initiative resources in a dynamic environment
  • Technical knowledge of DAS, Wifi, and IT systems
  • Experience and/or knowledge of Fiber Optic Facilities, Operational Support Systems both Physical and NetworkInventory, Order Management Systems, DWDM equipment/facilities
