To further strengthen our Team at our San Jose location we are looking for a Program Manager.
The Program Manager develops project strategy and provides updates and analysis based on review of relevant factors. The Program Manager is responsible for working with design, test, product, and application engineering teams to manage project schedules and risk. A primary function of the Program Manager is to ensure that all teams are communicating with each other and that changes or problems with the project are clearly identified and communicated to the relevant groups.
This position will interact heavily with the Workfront project management software system.

Project Schedule & Structure
The Program Manager must be able to gather requirements for a development project and translate those requirements into a project schedule. As change are required in the project and as progress is made, the Program Manager must modify and update the schedule as needed.
Resource Load Management
The Program Manager is responsible for managing resources and resource loading for the development groups. Tradeoffs and priorities must be communicated from Program Management to the team and upper management.
Identification and Management of Risk
The Program Manager should facilitate the identification and management of risks associated with the development process. Familiarity with the DFMEA process is required.
Custom Sample Tracking and Management
Many of IDT’s product are programmable. When a new configuration is requested by a customer a multi-step project is undertaken to generate the programming, test, build samples, and finally deliver to the customer.
The Program Manager is responsible for working with the development planners and production planners to ensure customer deliveries are met. A good candidate will be able to efficiently work with the members of the design, applications, test, and manufacturing teams.
Contact Point for World Wide Teams
The Program Manager will be responsible for communicating directly with multiple sales and operational support teams located world-wide. Providing clear, concise schedule updates and instruction through email will be critical to success in this role.
Program Management System Development
In addition to traditional program management, this position will help to define and implement new program management tools and systems.
Education and/or Experience:
An Ideal Candidate Will:
Have a BA/BS.
Have minimum of 3 years of industry related experience in project management (Preference that experience is with a tech company of some form. Semiconductorexperience is best but not required).
Have experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Have experience with project management software (MS Project, Workfront, etc).
Have an ability to influence others cross-functionally without having leadership authority or title.
