The Program Manager is responsible for the overall leadership of assigned projects from contract award to acceptance and closeout. The Program Manager is responsible for the planning, implementation, sales goals, profitability goals, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction for these projects.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with customers and develop lasting relationships, with the goal of meeting customer expectations and being able to respond to their future requirements

  • Interface with suppliers

  • Organize and implement projects, including development of project plans
  • Meet technical, schedule, and budget requirements
  • Develop and maintain project schedules
  • Perform ETC/EAC and cash flowfinancialreporting
  • Perform risk management and mitigation
  • Provide project status reports to Globecomm Management and customer entities
  • Manage subcontractor activities

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizen with an active U.S. Government issued Secret security clearance or higher, with the ability to maintain this level of clearance
  • 5years of experience managing technical, government projects
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Understanding of the project management lifecycle
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees
  • Ability to give clear and consistent instructions
  • Ability to effectively handle conflict resolution
  • Effective problem solving and decision making skills
  • Effective written email and oral presentation skills
  • Knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint
  • Ability and willingness to travel - domestic (up to 25%) and international (up to 10%)

 

Valued but not required skills and experience:

  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
  • Experience in the communications technology and/or wireless industry
  • Military Service
