How you will impact WestRock:

This role will manage the corporate record retention program for WestRock. The person in this role will serve as a thought leader and program manager, as well as the person responsible for implementing and managing policies and procedures across the company.

  • Develop and administer global records management compliance programming for WestRock
  • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures for records management, ensuring that all aspects of record keeping adhere to relevant corporate policy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the processes and procedures in place are effective and efficient for achieving necessary compliance and business goals
  • Oversee full cycle records management for 250 sites to include administrator database training and management to destruction processes
  • Develop and provide records management training to include content development, logistics and scheduling
  • Manage Records Coordinator(s) and handle escalated issues
  • Liaise with Legal Department, Risk Management, Information Technology and external partners on emerging issues in records management
  • Manage and execute compliance audits
  • Assist with WestRock's privacy and cybersecurity compliance

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems, Business Administration, or similar field of study
  • 7 years+ of progressive, direct experience in designing and implementing global compliance and records management programs
  • Extensive knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance (NARA, AIIM & CMMI guidelines)
  • Experience evaluating and developing a Global Records Management Strategy
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle Records Management, Iron Mountain, Open Text or similar technologies and emerging trends
  • Strong desire to stay abreast of best practices around information security and records retention
  • Successful track record of building out digital strategies for Global Records Management & Retention
  • Cross functional project and program management across various areas such as IT, Finance, Legal, and Compliance.
  • Ability to develop and implement ongoing training curriculum on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Strong end-to-end process design skills
  • Capable of managing projects with internal and external stakeholders
