Facebook's mission is to give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together. Through our family of apps and services, we're building a different kind of company that connects billions of people around the world, gives them ways to share what matters most to them, and helps bring people closer together. Whether we're creating new products or helping a small business expand its reach, people at Facebook are builders at heart. Our global teams are constantly iterating, solving problems, and working together to empower people around the world to build community and connect in meaningful ways. Together, we can help people build stronger communities — we're just getting started.

Through organizations like the Telecom Infra Project ( (, the Open Compute Project ( ( and network infrastructure deployment partnerships, the team collaborates globally with the telecom industry to identify and execute on a range of connectivity programs. If you have passion for working with operators, OEMs and other industry stakeholders to drive innovation, while working on cutting edge and cost efficient wireless, networking infrastructure, and data center based projects that will deliver internet access to the unconnected while significantly scaling current networks – then this is a great role for you. As a Connectivity Lifecycle Program Manager you will work closely with members of the Telecom Infra Project (TIP) Project Groups, network operators. OEMs and the Facebook Network Infrastructure team on the adoption and deployment of leading edge technologies. These technologies include wireless access, backhaul, core networking, optical and satellite communication systems, servers and storage. In parallel, you will interface with industry partners, hardware/software vendors and system integration providers. Finally, you will work closely with the TIP Project Group teams and TIP leadership to convey how we can work collaboratively to achieve the vision of giving people the power to build community and bring the world closer together. This position is full-time and is based in Menlo Park.

  4. Work across project group chairs, Infra, operators, network build teams and OEMs to identify requirements, define capabilities and prioritize product features to accelerate operator adoption of TIP based technologies.

  5. Identify and define financial and operational measures relevant to calculating robust and realistic investment and cost models for comparison of traditional and next generation infrastructure deployments

  6. Create total cost of ownership models supporting the deployments which compare opex and capex spend associated with the deployment of TIP technologies vs. the cost of commercially available alternatives. Studies will include input from operators, OEMs as well as feedback based on network deployments.

  7. Manage the relationships with external network operators and infrastructure partners to help reduce friction and remove obstacles facing telecom hardware/software contributions and market adoption.

  8. Strategize cross-functionally both with internal organizations and the external partner community to encourage new hardware, software, and use case contributions and increase active partnership engagement.
