This organization operates rapidly, scaling high availability data centers supporting government customers. They execute server and network device installations, IT hardware repairs, data center mechanical and electrical system operations and maintenance, physical security operations, and logistics operations on a 24x7 basis. The Program Manager must bring together multiple functional and technical capabilities to support the planning, build and operations of AWS data centers in the US. The Program Manager will be responsible to develop long-term plans and work backwards from strategic objectives to build execution plans. The right candidate will understand how to work across organizations to coordinate planning, leverage capabilities and apply resources to enable data center region builds, launches and current operations.

Additional responsibilities include:

· Engaging business development teams to pursue new business with US government customers

· Develop and maintain near- and long-term staffing plans and hiring strategies that align with data center build and launch schedules

· Plan and oversee budgeting of capital expenditures and operating expenses in line with management targets

· Deliver innovative approaches to meet complex challenges by interacting with business partners (e.g. Finance, Human Resources and Recruiting)

· Create and maintain metrics and visual dashboards that inform senior leader decision making cycles

· Employ statistical and predictive analysis to produce models to guide near-term decision making and strategic planning



· Bachelor's degree

· Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

· 3+ years of strategic planning experience (e.g. organization strategies)

· 3+ years of business development experience (e.g. managing opportunity pipelines and developing bids for government requests for proposal)

· 2+years interacting and briefing C-suite government and industry leaders

· This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. citizen and must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance


· Experience developing and managing capital and operating expense budgets

· Facility physical security experience

· Knowledge of information technology infrastructure domains such as compute server platforms, storage server platforms, server components, network devices, and IT service delivery preferred

· Experience in new data center deployments or expansion of existing data centers is ideal

· Experience in continuous improvement methodologies

· Experience with information technology infrastructure including data center facilities

· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to include long form business documents
