Key Role:

Manage the program operations branch of a PMO team on a large government IT contract. Provide project management and oversight, including implementing program and project management practices, processes, and procedures, assist with project governance, including assessing scope, allocating resources, and verifying time, risk and issue, impact assumptions and tools, including an automated portal for task intake, sourcing and recruiting, and subcontractor management. Communicate PMO standards and methodology to the customer, subcontractor partners, and internal task leads. Manage a small team responsible for program orientation, agency onboarding, deliverable management, and client meeting coordination while training and mentoring other PMO staff to ensure a collaborative team environment and facilitate knowledge transfer and retention within the PMO organization. Manage the customer approvals of staff, tasking, deliverables, and agency onboarding. Track all contract SLAs and reporting out to leadership and the client, as necessary. Communicate tasking to subcontractor partners, coordinate with subcontracts leadership on RFQs, and drive accountability of task owners for their commitments, milestones, resources, and deliverables, while maintaining positive productive relationships.

Basic Qualifications

-10+ years of experience with various aspects of project and program management for large federal contracts

-Experience in cross-functional coordination with geographically dispersed teams

-Ability facilitate meetings and keep attendees focused on defined objectives

-Ability to communicate information to senior executives for decision making purposes

-Ability to pay strict attention to detail

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications

-Experience with supporting a large-scale Program Management Office

-Experience in working with the Department of Veterans Affairs

-Experience with business analytic tools, including Tableau

-Ability to identify opportunities for improvement in existing processes

-Possession of excellent organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
