In the role of Director of Program Management, we'll count on you to:
Drive the growth of our Program Management services for the Water Business Group globally through marketing, execution, and management of company-wide business opportunities. We view our Program Management as a high-value advisory service that enables partnerships with our clients to help maximize their project funding.
This position will also be responsible for providing technical and marketing support for other HDR services such as wet weather collection systems and consent decrees. The position requires extensive travel including possible overseas and willingness to consider relocation based on major opportunities. Overall objectives include: pursue and execute Waterprogram management opportunities, provide superior program management services, and sustain a profitable, long-termProgram Management program for the Water Business Group. General responsibilities of this position include: Workwith Director of Professional Services and the Client Development Director to develop and execute strategic plan for growth and successful performance of program management across all Water market sectors. Work with Regional Directors, Market Sector Directors, Area Marketing Managers, and Client Managers to identify and prioritize programmanagement opportunities. Actively participate in program management pursuits including development of teams,staffing strategies, approaches, budgets, etc. Visit prospective clients to provide proactive marketing of programmanagement opportunities. Serve as client manager, project principal, and project manager for strategic clients and long-term programs. Collaborate with area operations, marketing, and project management staff. Participate in professional discipline groups, project teams, and activities to continually improve standards and best practices and implement effective quality assurance and quality control reviews. Help develop and implement HDR’s technology standards, projectdelivery practices, facilities, equipment, tools, and associated training programs for the successful execution of all work in this business line.
Position will be based in one of HDR's US offices and will require overnight business travel.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or in related field
• 20+ years water / wastewater project and program management-related
• Professional registration
• Candidate should have excellent marketing and business development skills in
addition to contacts/relationships in respective business class discipline
• Previous experience managing staff, clients and contracts, and hiring staff for
an engineering consulting firm, is desired
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-
