Medtronic’s Supply Chain Transformation initiative is an enterprise initiative focused on process, organization and technology. The Supply Planning Enterprise Process Leader (SP EPL) is responsible for enabling a Global approach and mindset across all Business Groups and Regions by engaging leaders from across functions and regions. This role will partner with the Enterprise Plan Process Owner and Group and Region Process Leads across MDT Business Groups and Regions to build an MDT approach, leveraging the industry best practice Supply Planning framework. The EPL has ownership to deploy across all businesses and monitors process KPIs to ensure maturity. Additionally, the ELP will stand up the global Supply Planning COE and community of practice (CoP) to sustain the process.
Day in the Life:
Define and embed the process strategy and approach as the new way of working, this includes a focus on processes and mindset/behavior shifts, to support business decision-making.

  • Responsible for ongoing process leadership at the Enterprise level in alignment with Enterprise Process Owner (EPO) leadership.
  • Responsible for modifying the process to fit the needs of MDT and culture, leveraging internal and external experts.
  • Collaborates with business leaders and subprocess representatives to ensure that the process and practices are aligned with the principles of Supply Planning/IBP and that processes are designed to meet the requirements of the business.
  • Documents processes, procedures, and training materials in alignment with common GSC standards.
  • Drives continuous improvement and monitors the achievement of identified process performance metrics.
  • Facilitates connection with Regional / Business Group Process Leads to maintain alignment on process improvements and understand Region and Group challenges/needs.
  • Develops training curriculum and materials for Groups and Regions on processes, tools and metrics.
  • Assess and maintain KPIs for process area reflecting overall goals of the Plan processes.
  • Partner with MDT Plan network (IBP, Demand, Inventory and PLM) to identify technology selections in support of the Plan processes.

Must Have:

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with 7+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with 7+ years of managerial experience

  • Experience in a fast-paced work environment, balancing multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Five or more years proven success leading a team of individuals in a fast-paced, demanding environment

  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build credible relationships with multiple functions.

  • Adept at creating tools and processes from scratch a plus

  • Advanced knowledge of Plan systems and processes.

  • Experience with an ERP system

  • Global change management experience across geography, functions and organization levels.

  • Proven experience in process definition and implementation

  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, as well as strong skills as a negotiator and facilitator to reach consensus, buy-in and commitment.

  • Proven ability to interact and effectively communicate with Executive management and all levels of the organization

  • Ten or more years’ experience in demand/supply, financial or sales planning

  • Experience strategizing and implementing Plan processes within a large organization

  • Experience in a structured business process (e.g. SIOP, S&OP, IBP) strongly preferred

  • Plant scheduling and Capacity planning expertise in SAP/BPCS a plus
