Later this year, Liberty Healthcare will open a new specialized residential program designed to provide intensive residential treatment services to adult clients who may present with behavioral health disorders, autism, intellectual/developmental disabilities and behavior challenges.

This program will utilize intensive interdisciplinary clinical services, employ competent and well-trained direct care staff, utilize best practices in person-centered care and be set in a modern four-bed residential home in Visalia, CA.

Liberty Healthcare seeks an experienced leader who will be responsible for the start-up and continuous management of this specialized home and program.

The incumbent will enjoy a wide array of responsibilities, including:

  • Leading a complex "start-up" initiative to establish a new four-bed residential program
  • Hiring, training and managing staff
  • Developing, implementing and managing a multidisciplinary treatment program which will meet the needs of program clients and prepare them for long-term success in the community
  • Establishing and maintaining a treatment milieu which is conducive to person-centered care, positive behavioral interventions, trauma-informed care and best practices
  • Leading the program's interdisciplinary team
  • Assuring compliance with all applicable Federal, State of California, and Liberty Healthcare standards, statutes, regulations and contractual obligations
  • Assisting in the development and management of the program budget
  • Ensuring the physical plant is safe, sanitary and conducive to healthy living
  • Liaising with a wide array of stakeholders - including public human service officials, Liberty Healthcare corporate representatives, law enforcement officers, community interest groups, and guardians and families
  • Being available on-call on a rotational basis to respond to client crisis and urgent needs

Skills & Requirements

Qualified candidates should have a successful track record of leading residential or hospital-based behavioral health, forensic mental health or intellectual and developmental disabilities programs.

Candidates must also possess one of the following professional credentials:

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA or BCaBA)
  • Psychiatric Technician (LPT)

In the absence of one of the above professional licenses, candidates who have a Bachelor's degree and are willing to take 40 hours of training can become certified as a Registered Behavior Technician and will qualify.
