Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with other staff on new program opportunities
  • Initiate and support fund development activities including proposal development
  • Supervising of staff team including coordinator and administrative assistant
  • Initiate and support fund development activities including proposal development
  • Foster program quality continuous improvement and innovation
  • Manage the daily operations of Reach Out and Read including inventory volunteer management outreach and marketing and program site supervision
  • Cultivation of mentoring and coaching opportunities for AmeriCorps members and supervisors
  • Serving as primary liaison with the NYS Office for National and Community Service and the National Association of Community Health Centers
  • Reporting and communicating with AmeriCorps stakeholders including members host sites donors grantors and the community at large
  • Maintain proper record keeping and reporting including all required AmeriCorps and LFHC paperwork
  • Grant management including documentation of staff time member hours program outcomes and cash or in-kind donations to fulfill AmeriCorps grant match and completion of progress and fiscal reports
  • Facilitation of communication and relationships between AmeriCorps members host sites and lead agency
  • Liaison with placement sites including annual interview field visits and supervisor training
  • Member training development and recognition activities
  • Annual recruitment placement, and training for diverse and qualified AmeriCorps members to provide direct service and capacity building for youth development family support health and education programs and placement sites.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree
three yearexperience in program management with job tasks including grant management training electronic outcomes reporting and negotiating community partnerships excellent organizational and communications skills ability to work independently and be self-motivated comfort using Microsoft Office products collaborative and cooperative working style. Ability to travel within the community and attend weekend/evening activities as scheduled
