Summary of Major Responsibilities

This position has the responsibility to operate as a partner, trusted advisor and entry point for Exact’s Commercial Organization and business constituents to request IT projects and services, work priorities and ensures end-to-end planning for technology enabled business solutions. Coach, mentor, and lead a team of project managers, business analysts, and a data engineers to appropriately deliver solutions that provides the business units with a core advantage to managing its business.

The role will be a key technology leader to drive, design and implement our commercial strategy, digital sales and sales analytics transformation. This leader will champion recommendations on how to evolve the business support systems to meet the growth demands the company continues to experience. This is a cross-functional role that collaborates with peer groups across functions and is the point person for technology leadership within the Commercial and FP&A organization.

This role partners with Commercial Operations, Marketing, Sales and FP&A communities to drive our business and technology roadmaps forward.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ability to work nights and/or weekends
  • Ability to work normal schedule of Monday through Friday during normal business hours
  • Partnering with assigned business domains to drive our business and technology roadmaps forward
  • Responsible for business relationships, application performance, and the identification and delivery of new and existing application services to meet the business units’ known and emerging needs
  • Responsible for building, managing and delivering a portfolio of technology programs and projects that improve business process capabilities
  • Responsible for developing and managing an Applications plan working with the senior management of the business
  • Responsible for directing and evaluating feasibility studies, project scoping and project planning for business applications projects
  • Define, plan, and direct the execution of a broad range of technical projects, while balancing the competing demands of scope, time, cost, quality, resources, and risk
  • Responsible for establishing priorities and schedules for business application projects
  • Oversee project execution and actively manage the project portfolio
  • Manage relationships with various technology and business communities to achieve project objectives across the project portfolio
  • Conduct risk management planning, identification, analysis and monitoring on projects
  • Responsible for managing enhancements of the related business systems and drive operational efficiencies across processes and technology that support the business operations and strategic company projects
  • Develop schedules, budgets, risk management plans, quality goals, and lead the team to success
  • Actively participate in design and usability reviews to ensure alignment with stakeholders
  • Maintain detailed program metrics around initiative goals
  • Excellent change management and issue resolution skills with the ability to deliver results
  • Drive continuous improvements in all aspects of the process
  • Drive tough decision making while balancing business goals, technical implications, and timelines
  • Excellent ability to mentor and lead IT program team members
  • Formulate, organize and monitor inter-connected projects including
  • Any supervisory responsibilities
  • Supervise staff including but not limited to organize and prioritize work, write/conduct performance reviews, train/develop, and manage work performance
  • Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures

  • Ability to lift to 10 pounds for approximately 5% of a typical working day
  • Ability to work seated for approximately 50% of a typical working day. Ability to work standing for approximately 50% of a typical working day
  • Ability to work in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day
  • Ability to comply with any applicable personal protective equipment requirements
  • Ability to travel approximately 10% of working time

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Sciences, Business Administration or other relevant degree; or high school degree/general education diploma and 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Minimum of 15 years of professional experience is required, including 10+ years’ experience in large, complex implementations
  • Ability to lead a large IT team of functional and technical business analyst responsible for supporting various finance business functions is a must
  • Clear demonstration of progressive achievement and growth up to a IT Business Application Director role
  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) project management methodologies
  • Demonstrated project delivery involving complex business workflows or system architectures
  • Ability to manage and get work done from project managers, business analyst and developers
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix environment, particularly in cross-functional teams across multiple business application tracks
  • Self-motivated and a problem solver
  • Good communication skills
  • Good organization, prioritization & multi-tasking abilities
  • Must be able to listen and communicate clearly, negotiate, mitigate conflict, build alliances and achieve desired results using strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills

  • Knowledge of a variety of software and hardware solutions; multi-vendor environments and hybrid environment of on premise, co-located, and cloud based services
  • Understanding and demonstration of the fundamentals of program management
  • Manage teams and operations across functional boundaries, both internal and external
  • Financial, resource, and vendor management skills
  • Strong attention to detail, quality oriented with the ability to see the big picture
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with ability to influence others
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple internal cross-functional teams and successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to communicate complex information and concepts succinctly
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
