General Purpose: Reporting to the Program Manager on the Parent Gifts team in the Office of Development, the Program Coordinator (PC) works closely with the Program Manager and the Director of Parent Gifts. The PC collaborates with and provides critical fundraising support to frontline development officers, and engages with other Development staff and other offices on campus to conduct writing, research, and project coordination for the Parent Gifts team. Works on special projects related to donors across the university. Other responsibilities of the Program Coordinator include: coordinates with Development colleagues and other offices campus-wide to develop or enhance proposals and briefings summarizing Yale activities; coordinates and assists with a range of event logistics, e.g., compiles and maintains invitation lists, extends invitations, confirms attendance, ensures attendance accuracy; conducts research on individuals, corporations, foundations, and institutions using office files, databases, and internet search engines and resources; drafts a wide variety of written materials including detailed biographical and business briefings, correspondence, and proposals; designs, develops, and produces ad hoc reports and analyses by report generation and manipulation of information systems, including our primary alumni database; researches and investigates gift commitments using office files and databases; builds strong relationships with staff and serves as a key contact on questions relating to various unit needs; interacts with donors at the request of the Director and Parent Gifts officers in response to inquiries; assists with arranging campus visits for Yale alumni and prospective Yale families; and assists with the assignment of tasks to student workers.
Required Education and Experience: Eight years of related experience, six of them in the same job family at the next lower level and a high school level education; or six years of related experience and an Associate's Degree; or two years of related work experience and a Bachelor's Degree; or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
