Responsibilities/Accountabilities

You will lead the execution of assigned technical activities for military APS1000 APU program(s). Reporting directly to the APU Chief Engineer, you will interface directly with all engineering functions, customers, and suppliers to ensure successful completion of engineering breakthroughs and deliverables on their assigned program(s). You will lead a team, working with Design Integration to insure all technical aspects of their assigned APU programs meet production and product improvement requirements within assigned budgets.

You will work within the Integrated Product Structure as an integral part of the program specific Integrated Program Management Teams (IPMT) and have direct responsibility for the execution engineering development, production support, and airframe integration tasks. Within the greater program context, you will drive execution of airframe and design integration through the SIPT, Component Integrated Product Teams (CIPTs), and Configuration Control Board (CCB) to deliver a product which fulfills all customer and job ticket requirements while maximizing APU commonality.

This position also requires significant personal dedication and commitment to successfully achieving APU program objectives. 10% travel is expected.


Qualification: To be successful in this position, you should have the following experience:

Required Qualifications:

  • BS Engineering
  • US Person (Permanent Green Card) or US Citizen due to program requirements
  • 10+ years’ experience in Engineering
  • 5+ years’ experience with Hardware procurement/management with turbo machinery, combined with systems integration.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering degreepreferred
  • 7+ years' experience utilizing excellent technical leadership skills coupled with the ability to craft clear written and oral communication to enable day to day direction of a large, technical, and matrixed team.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Previous work within a highly complex, international business environment while maintaining the highest standards for International Trade Compliance
  • You should be results oriented and conclusive; and possess a consistent track record of good technical and business decision-making.
  • Excellent Judgment and professional maturity
  • The ability to create positive relationships
