Typical Responsibilities:

  • Reports directly to the DigitalBanking Support Manager
  • This position will resolve both simple and complex software issues to our clients' satisfaction
  • This is a challenging role and requires high intelligence, the ability to multi task and a good understanding how to support and troubleshoot software, able to monitor performance and trouble shoot business-level problems at the server level (triage) and work with Development/QA/BA teams to provide guidance and advice on issues
  • Maintain multiple local environments for debugging systems
  • Remotely and locally debug code for multiple applications using the Bottomline standard tools on BT technology and architecture
  • Work cooperatively with Level 1 Support to gather issue information and educate them on new issues and solutions
  • Provides technical training, guidance, and resource support for end users and Departmental staff
  • Develop data repair scripts to address urgent client issues
  • Experience in performance tuning especially tuning complex queries, stored procedures, functions, and indexing strategies
  • Work with the Implementations and Delivery Teams on defect resolution and solution delivery
  • As an active member of the support community, utilize and promote best practices
  • Develop new technical skills and learn industry knowledge
  • Participate in process improvement efforts
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting
  • Ability to work in a distributed team environment
  • Experience working on quantitative software products

  • 4 year college degree (in CS or related field) or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years of web development experience
  • 3-5 years of Support and customer facing experience. Experience with financial customers an advantage.
  • Experience in developing web applications using HTML, DHTML, AJAX and CSS
  • Good understanding of RDBMS concepts; development experience in Oracle, MySQL or similar enterprise
  • Java experience (specifically server-side J2EE technologies such as JSP, EJB, etc.)
  • Solid experience in Windows and Linux or other UNIX based OS  and networking systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English) with the ability to explain complex technical problems to non-technical audiences
  • 10+ years of experience developing database processing logic with T-SQL with strong debugging skills
  • 10+ years of experience working within the full lifecycle SDLC as part of a software product and operations team environment
  • Experience developing SQL scripts, data processing processes, and performance tuning quantitative queries
  • Superior organizational and end to end delivery skills in an Agile environment
  • Experience maintaining a 24x7 production operations environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities with proactive communication in mind
  • Ability to maintain strong working relationships with development and business teams based on a proactive communication style

  • Computer Science degree or proven experience
  • Object Oriented Programming
