Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; develop and implement cost reductions; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees
Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules
Oversee and coach employees
Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance
Check production output according to specifications
Submit reports on performance and progress
Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements
Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures
Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards
Proven experience as Production Supervisor or similar role in a Manufacturing or Machine Shop environment
Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools
Experience implementing LEAN and Visual Manufacturing
Organizational and leadership abilities
Communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
High School Diploma; Degree in a technical, engineering or relevant field will be an advantage
