JOB RESPONSIBLITES

Safety

  • Ensures a safe, clean and environmentally complaint work environment and builds a culture where safety is a first priority.
  • Lives the Safety Stand and adhere to Employee Safety Responsibilities
  • Ensures strict adherence to OC safety policies and procedures
  • Provides a safe and secure work environment for all employees, contractors and visitors
  • Ensures completion of all required safety training
  • Educates and trains employees on safe operations
  • Performs reporting and investigation of all safety incidents, driving to root cause and permanent resolution
  • Leads Hazard Identification and reduction efforts
  • Ensures housekeeping standards and expectations are set and followed

Managing Daily Operations

  • Communication—ensuring visibility to and understanding of performance and operational metrics, key messages, and daily priorities
  • Performance Management—coaching and developing employees; correcting performance issues; rewarding and recognizing performance
  • Decision Making—determining operational priorities, resolving issues, resource planning and talent deployment
  • TPM /Lean / Sigma Leadership—identification of continuous improvement opportunities; escalation of issues; development and implementation of solutions to eliminate waste
  • Manage KPI’s –meeting/exceeding strategic team goals
  • Determines department objectives and priorities in support of the Plant’s strategy and vision, and develops teams to deliver results and ensure strong execution
  • Drives for plant targets on all applicable machine performance metrics (Capacity Utilization, Rates, Waste, etc…)
  • Proactively analyzes and manages all relevant operations performance metrics and drives improvement in efficiencies, quality and cost
  • Ensures proper shift resourcing in order to meet production schedules
  • Assigns and coordinates work of the operations department in a way that minimizes controllable costs
  • Ensures operational procedures exist and are followed to deliver product specifications and quality metrics are met to fulfill customers’ needs
  • Ensures timely and accurate production to schedules in order to meet or exceed delivery to promise
  • Partners with relevant stakeholders to identify and address process improvement opportunities to eliminate waste, enhance safety, reduce cost, increase capacity and productivity and improve the end product
  • Partners with plant leadership team to develop and implement Total Productive Maintenance plans and ensure employee engagement and ownership

Talent Development and Succession Planning

  • Drive engagement globally and cross-functional projects through a collaborative environment
  • Creates and fosters a work environment that promotes teamwork and inclusion
  • Communicates to employees in a way that connects daily activities to the achievement of plant performance targets
  • Establishes an engaged workforce characterized by mutual trust, open communications and recognition
  • Develops and executes training and development strategies to ensure the plant has employees capable of delivering expected results
  • Provides feedback to employees focused on strengths, development opportunities and performance against expectations
  • Maintains documentation, tracks, counsels and executes coaching and corrective action when performance issues occur

Knowing Your Customers

  • Understands and communicates customer expectations throughout operations and ensures all products meet customer standards and requirements
  • Ensures timely and accurate production to schedules in order to meet or exceed delivery to promise targets
  • Ensures operational procedures are followed to deliver products that meet all customer needs and Fitness for Use (FFU)
  • Supports or leads investigations on all quality complaints or near misses
  • Performs root cause analysis with the involvement of operators on quality related issues

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or related discipline required

Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years manufacturing experience, including supervisory experience
  • Proven results in driving improvements in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience supporting TPM Coordination with not only strategic approach, but on the shop floor as well
  • Managing and delivering results through projects and initiatives, proven project management skills

Essential Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

The employee must possess the ability to:

  • Work extended /flexible hours
  • Sit/Stand/walk for prolonged periods of time
  • Utilize computer equipment for extended periods of time
  • Travel up to 5%
