Job Summary

The Production Business Manager partners with the agency Producers, Account team, and Creatives to bid and estimate projects, and manage essential documents and workflow in the production of all agency broadcast, content, and video productions. This position works directly with our producers to maintain order in the production process, handles all relevant industry documentation, and reports into the Director of Video and Broadcast Production.

  • Demonstrate the mission, vision, values and culture principles of Blue Chip Worldwide
  • Manage the Agency's production processes to ensure an efficient, reliable and accurate workflow
  • Responsible for managing all negotiations, contracts and payments as it relates to production and talent
  • Oversee all the video and broadcast production business processes
  • Handle talent session payments and usage fees
  • Works with Extreme Reach and to manage and track jobs
  • Works with production companies to assign trafficking instructions
  • Negotiates licensed music and manages stock license agreements
  • Works with producers to finalize jobs
  • Request bids from vendors and create and track production estimates
  • Track POs, Invoices, payments, and production receipts
  • Manage status of all broadcast, video, content, and production jobs and hold periodic status meetings as needed
  • Function as central administrative hub for department and maintain production files
  • Manage music licenses and talent usage agreements
  • Resolve issues and provide solutions 
  • Maintain up to date weekly time tracking, per the Agency’s time tracking policy
  • Must be able to occasionally travel overnight and on weekends
  • Ensure all activities and operations are performed in compliance with regulatory and federal regulations

Education,Experienceand Certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in liberal arts, marketing, communications, or business administration a plus
  • 4-6 years’ experience as a Production/Talent Manager
  • Experience with interactive and non-broadcast production is a plus
  • Knowledge of online media production a plus 
  • Quick and Innovative thinking is essential to manage the quickly evolving production environment and new media opportunities
  • Must be highly organized and process oriented.
