The Product Support Specialist pre-screens and packages loan and recovery requests related to the SBA, Farmer Mac and franchise financing loan programs. The Specialist also supports the primary relationship manager in the ongoing management and loan servicing of specialty lending credits to ensure compliance with program requirements. Additionally, this position analyzes program data, prepares various departmental reports, and makes recommendations related to specialty lending programs.

Primary responsibilities are outlined below.
Sales Support
-Pre-screen and package small business and commercial loan opportunities by various programs
-Determine if requested servicing actions are permitted under program guidelines
-Maintain program checklists and online help resources to be published to the Commercial Resource Hub
-Research, identify and attain lists of program prospects
-May prepareand conduct market updates to encourage program use through education

Operational Risk Management
-Analyze existing processes and make recommendations for process improvements
-Participate/Lead operational projects as needed
-Create/maintain procedural documentation to facilitate cross-training within department
-Prepare/review SBA loan authorizations to be consistent with the Bank's credit approval and SBA requirements
-Complete program specific post-closing review of new loan transaction documentation to ensure completeness of file
-Review SBA loan disbursement requests for appropriateness and documentation
-Audit existing loan files to ensure all required program documentation is included
-Compile necessary documentation and advise relationship manager on appropriate steps per program guidelines in the event of default on a Farmer Mac or SBA credit
-Support SBA liquidation efforts with servicing actions and submission of purchasing requests and charge-off packages
-Coordinate communication of changes to program requirements and efforts with impacted internal departments on corresponding procedural changes

Reporting & Analysis
-Build regular ad-hoc reports for various specialty lending programs
-Evaluate program profitability and effectiveness
-Monitoring and reporting of status of loans in default

Required
-Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years experience or equivalent work experience in related field
-Strong Microsoft Office Suite Skills (specifically Excel)
-Technical proficiency to quickly learn and master new computer systems and software
-Ability to communicate professionally and concisely to individuals in various levels of the organization
-Analytical thinker capable of problem identification and resolution
-Strong organization skills with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment
-Ability to handle loan transactions with limited intervention or instructions
-Ability to understand complex loan transactions

Preferred
-Commercial loan experience
-Previous credit underwriting experience
-Previous experience with SBA lending programs
-Previous product management experience
-Previous project management experience

Position may be filled at a lower level based on experience.
