True software development is a team sport.  To shape applications/systems, the Agile Product Owner will need to leverage and utilize company SMEs, in addition to personal experience and expertise, to create the 'ah-ha' moments with clients. We are looking for a passionate, driven, and dynamic individual who wants to have a meaningful impact. As a member of this dynamic and fast-paced team, you will be responsible for determining the features of a product prior to its release. Product Owner is a demanding position which must act as liaison between an organization’s development team and end users, by defining product features necessary to create value for government customers. The Agile product owner will provide a clear description and outline of product features for easy comprehension by the development team. They manage product backlog and backlog visibility in order to prioritize user stories for implementation. As part of their responsibilities, product owners work with a scrum team comprising of scrummaster and developers. They collaborate with the program team and government teams to obtain information useful in developing products that meet and exceed the requirements of customers.  This role also entails participating in daily scrum meetings to give feedback on sprint achievement and relay new user stories. They will also split big user stories and establish acceptance criteria for each user story. In performing their duties, product owners analyze and study market trends to identify changes in consumer taste requirements. They will communicate with otherinternal product owners to exchange ideas on necessary product features. Some of the major qualities you will need to have to succeed in this career include leadership, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Management, Business Administration, or other technical discipline.

At least 5 years of professional experience 

Effective communication and collaboration skills

Experience creating and maintaining a Product backlog and sorting the Product backlog items according to priority.

Ability to clearly communicate the business requirements to the Team.

Build and maintain a relationship with the Stakeholders.

Experience interacting with senior level management

Strong writing ability.

Certification in Scrum or Agile.
