Job summary:

The Solutions Architect is responsible for working closely with external users, internal technology teams, partners, and stakeholders to develop comprehensive product solutions. The Solutions Architect knows how to get to the bottom of the business problem and translate high-level requirements into working software that adheres to architectural best practices. He/she utilizes marketing and customer experience acumen to ensure that each solution maximizes business value.

The right candidate will be an effective communicator who can articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users throughout the sales and product development cycles. He/she will be an enthusiastic team player whose commitment to Kobie and strong attention to detail enable on-time delivery of software releases.


  • Become an expert in Kobie Marketing’s technology platform
  • Discover, analyze, and document business requirements through ongoing communication with project stakeholders
  • Approach all programs and clients with a holistic understanding of their business, technology, and marketing goals to create strong solutions in collaboration with IT colleagues
  • Demonstrate awareness of key business functions and corresponding technical strategy benefits, risks, and costs that impact the business
  • Translate requirements into system and process solution designs
  • Create supporting documentation and processes for new technology configurations, customizations, and functionalities
  • Represent the voice of the business and the vision of the product as part of the Scrum Team
  • Ensure that the product backlog is transparent and clearly understood by the Scrum Team
  • Collaborate with the Scrum Team to create product backlog items
  • Assist in release planning to highlight milestone releases for Epics and Features
  • Optimize the work of the Development Team (i.e. predictability for planning, capitalizing opportunities)
  • Work with QA to create and execute test plans to validate functional requirements
  • Plan and deliver product demonstrations
  • Provide pre-sales support for product solutions



  • 5+ years of business systems analysis, IT project management or related experience
  • Broad technology knowledge based on prior experience with custom development projects, systems integration and database systems
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills as they relate to different audiences (Executive staff, Scrum Team, etc.)
  • Ability to learn new tools and processes and adapt quickly to change
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing, and deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple activities simultaneously
  • Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum delivery methods, tools, and concepts as part of the full software development life cycle
  • Experience working with service-oriented architecture (REST, SOAP, messaging)
  • Database experience writing SQL queries
  • Experience with marketing and sales
  • Loyalty marketing or customer experience expertise a plus
  • UX experience designing mockups and developing HTML/CSS a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent experience
  • Willingness to travel when necessary – up to 10%
