Summary:

Product Marketing at Facebook has grown and evolved over time, and we're continuing to scale and grow even more, making bigger and more frequent bets with our marketing investment. With this rapid expansion we need the team to grow and evolve to meet the demands of this new marketing environment, as well as effectively socialize and evangelize our work to key stakeholders across Facebook Inc. As a key member of the “Strategic, Planning, and Operations” team within PMM, the PMM Org Development & Operations manager will set up our consumer product marketing organization—which spans over 20 product verticals across Facebook's core and Messenger apps--for growth and success. S/he will accomplish this by splitting time between “in-reach” initiatives, such as building and investing in the professional development of the organization, to “outreach” efforts, which include collecting, synthesizing, and sharing out case studies, best practices, and other high impact examples of PMM work. The PMM OD&O manager is ideally passionate about the intersection of technology, social media, product marketing, and people development, and has exceptional organizational and communication skills. S/he must be able to succeed in a fast paced environment and be able to thrive in and work with cross- functional teams. This is a full-time position based in Menlo Park, reporting into the Organizational Development Lead.

Required Skills:

  1. Use reports to develop semi-annual plans and keep Leads and teams accountable to goals and progress

  2. Develop and deliver against our annual growth & connectedness agenda

  3. Run 6+ events per year, including piloting “PMM Connect” days

  4. Conduct and analyze surveys to continuously improve PMM Upward programming

  5. Collect and learn from internal and external marketing best practices

  6. Plan and oversee structured, regular team building & off-sites for the PMM leadership team

  7. Build connections across our growing regional footprint through coordinated, high impact programs

  8. Support formal training and development initiatives (outside of existing formal PMM Camp) as needed

  9. Manage updates to and provide on-the-ground support for PMM Camp

  10. Host and facilitate a culture/ how we work panel

  11. Support 2018+ PMM Camp strategy & planning

  12. Develop, rationalize, and oversee our collection of case studies, best practices, and key learnings across inbound, launch, and outbound

  13. Selectively package and distribute/ socialize high impact examples for external education and consumption

  14. Oversee and innovate ways to communicate PMM impact and value across the organization

  15. Continuously improve how we collect and package best practices and “outreach” by regularly collecting feedback (surveys/ interviews)

  16. Support ad hoc People Operations & ensure coordination with Marketing-wide events and touch points

  17. Ad hoc project management and support for Strategy, Planning & Operations team

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BA/BS degree or equivalent marketing experience

  2. 5+ years of experience in learning & development, strategic planning, organizational development, or similar/ adjacent discipline for a marketing org and/ or startups in the internet and/or consumer technology vertical

  3. Demonstrated interest/experience building & connecting growing teams

  4. Ability to manage multiple projects with a results orientation

  5. Ability to influence without direct line authority

  6. Ability to think, plan, prioritize, and execute on multiple projects simultaneously in an organized fashion

  7. Attention to detail & follow-through

  8. Able to meet deadlines for ad hoc requests

  9. Communications and presentation skills

  10. Motivated, collaborative, and confident self-starter

  11. Ability to build relationships & influence with a diverse set of colleagues at all management and experience levels

  12. Thrives in a face-paced, entrepreneurial, self-starter environment
