Job Description


Our Product Marketing team is looking for an experienced Product Marketing Manager to drive awareness and growth of Workday's Workforce Management solutions in payroll, HCM, and time tracking.

We're looking for a Product Marketing Manager who will excel in a dynamic, fast paced ever-evolving environment in a leading technology company. This person must have knowledge of enterprise applications or HR applications and know how to market them effectively.


As a Product Marketeer at Workday, you will position and evangelize enterprise cloud applications, perform market analysis, and drive event content development. As the voice of our products, you will update customers on new features, create compelling messaging, enable sales, and drive demand through outbound marketing activities.


Areas of responsibility will be:

  • Marketing Events- support marketing events with content curation, customer outreach, and overall session track ownership
  • Marketing data analysis-analyze go-to-marketdata, quantify market opportunities
  • Product launches - support marketing plan for product launches
  • Sales enablement -assist in the creation of sales enablement tools and materials
  • Positioning and messaging -create high-impact marketing and sales collateral (whitepapers, datasheets, executive presentations, etc.)
  • Market and competitive intelligence- be the expert on your product, buyers and competition to educate sales and inform deals
  • Product liaison- drive product strategy and growth by collaborating with corporate marketing, product management, and sales teams



The ideal candidate possesses expertise in payroll, time tracking, or HCM solutions. We are looking for storytellers who can distill messaging into concise, impactful positioning. He or she will have strong execution capabilities, the ability to adapt and multitask, as well as collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.Requirements:

  • 4-7 years of product marketing experience in software, preferably in delivering SaaS, PaaS or IaaS solutions
  • Domain expertise or knowledge of payroll management, time tracking, or HCM solutions preferred
  • Excellent communication, writing and story-telling skills
  • Passion for cloud-based technology and SaaS
  • Ability to build and deliver content in the form of enablement and presentations to a wide array of audiences from sales to presales to partners
  • Ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams, and third parties
  • Superior written, verbal and presentation skills along with attention to detail and an eye for quality
  • A flexible & effective influencing style
  • Ability to establish and meet hard deadlines
  • Self starter and strong finisher with a positive, can-do attitude
  • BS / BA degree required. MBA a plus.
