Overview & Responsibilities
The Rackspace Private Cloud (RPC) Private-Cloud-as-a-Service (PCaaS) Product Marketing Manager is responsible defining and leading the overall go-to-market plan for RPC working with the platform PMMs, product and general managers, central marketing, partners and others. This includes developing and delivering marketing assets for the overall private cloud business, presenting at events and webinars, visiting customers, and measuring success.
The position calls for people with partner and/or channel marketing experience in infrastructure and cloud markets with a mix of technical understanding and an in-depth knowledge cloud and managed services buying patterns and personas. The ideal candidate must have a strong blend of interpersonal and communication skills to complement their in-depth knowledge. This leader understands how to build a go-to-market plan and project manage the plan to success.

This position is based in San Antonio, Texas
In this role you will:
Own and lead the RPC go-to-market plan outlining deliverables, events, dates and leaders responsible working these items. Collaboration spans central and field marketing, and a variety of other teams across Rackspace and at partners.
Work with RPC leaders and others to craft overall PCaaS stories, messages and marketing materials. Represent RPC at events, lead the occasional webinar, blog and engage on social media driving home Rackspace’s unique value proposition in this new category.
Collaborate with a select set of partners to create co-marketing strategies and effective go-to-market tactics, value propositions, messaging and other marketing deliverables.
The RPC PCaaS product marketing leader has IT decision maker level sales enablement responsibility working with the Rackspace sales enablement teams for the PCaaS message and partner enablement. The targets of this enablement are Rackspace sales, technical pre-sales and partner organizations to get partners on board selling Rackspace managed services and to help Rackspace sales teams understand how partners fit into their motion.
Influence Rackspace managed service product direction by internally communicating requirements and opportunities to product management learned through prospect, partner and customer interactions.
Basic Required Qualifications:
10+ years as a partner and/or product marketing manager, product manager for infrastructure, cloud and/or related technologies.
Educational foundation in computer science/engineering and/or marketing. MBA is a plus.
Understand the full go-to-market cycle for infrastructure and cloud solutions
Experience working with partners and/or channels developing joint marketing materials and programs
Writing skills – able to simplify complex topics to easy to understand and read deliverables
Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
Ability to lead a cross functional effort
Ability to get key deliverables completed in a timely and quality manner in a dynamic environment
Ability to deliver higher level technical and business level presentations and collateral
Presentation skills – creating visual presentations and delivering them.
