Oracle Cloud Business Group reports directly into the CEO. We perform core product marketing function for the company and have the responsibility of setting Oracle market strategy for Oracle public cloud including SaaS, PaaS and IaaS, as well as converged infrastructure and Industry vertical solutions. We lead the company’s transition to cloud. We design, develop and deploy go to market strategies that are aligned with the selling organization, and partner with engineering on product roadmaps and requirements.
To achieve our business goals, we perform market opportunity assessment, customer segmentation and targeting, competitive and partner ecosystem assessment, and business model analysis to inform go-to-market strategy and execution.
Oracle Cloud Strategy MBA Internship program has the executive sponsorship by the most senior leader of our organization. Candidates of the program will have the opportunity to participate in strategy projects in the most dynamic areas of cloud landscape and with significant executive visibility.
Job responsibilities and activities
Perform strategic analysis to help product marketing leaders drive growth initiatives
Support one or several of Oracle’s industry solution verticals, including and not limited to communications, financial services, healthcare, Hi-education, manufacturing, and etc.
Perform segmentation analyses based on internal and external data sets
Conduct market sizing and competitive market analyses using primary and secondary research
Drive thought leadership and marketing messaging for a given industry vertical and an industry solution offer
Package analyses for actionable recommendations to executive leadership
Preferred skills, experience, background
Highly analytical and strategic individual
2-5 years of experience in product marketing and management consulting
Ability to frame the question, design the analytical approach and synthesize a large volume of data into insights
Superior skills in written and verbal executive facing presentation
Proficiency with data visualization technology is a plus
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Development and implementation of business plans, marketing strategy, and forecasts for a product/service or vertical market.
As a product analyst you will participate in every stage of the product life cycle to ensure product meets the needs of users. Drive the implementation of programs in support of the marketing strategy, business plans, and forecasts for assigned product lines. Maintains current status of customer specifications for existing and future products. Identify, evaluate, and recommend marketing opportunities in support of product line objectives. Drive product functionality delivering high quality product documentation. Lead products through scheduled release assisting others to manage commitments and resources. Measure and report progress and review deliverables.
Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Demonstrated product/project management experience. Excellent written and verbal communication. Demonstrated product/project management experience. Thrives in fast paced environment Team player. Experience using or implementing Oracle, SAP, or Peoplesoft applications. 5 years related experience and BA/BS degree in marketing or technical major preferred.
