Product Marketing Manager

We have partnered with a well-known, growing, highly respected industry leading manufacturer in search of a Product Marketing Manager. Due to their continued commitment to developing new cutting edge/next generation products they are seeking an experienced Product Management professional to lead and direct marketing strategies that will ensure the successful execution of new product launches, and deliver new levels of growth and profitability for existing product categories. You'll own short, medium, and long-range product plans, developing and implementing product and technology roadmaps that connect strategy to execution and deliver financial results.

Day in the Life:

· Set direction for cross-functional product teams, defining the features and requirements necessary to deliver an outstanding product while collaboratively determining development methodologies use

· Strategically access and improve existing product categories to achieve new levels of growth and profitability

· Lead in the development and execution of new product and technology roadmap to ensure development projects meet channel, end user, financial, and revenue objectives

· Drive execution of world-class new product launches, product line upgrades, and derivative modification implementation

· Drive P&L performance through value engineering, pricing/mix management, and SKU rationalization

· Ensure viability of new and upgraded products in channels and with end use

· Design consumer/customer research and translates consumer needs into value attributes the organization can execute to achieve winning product designs

· Identify new product opportunities and aligns resources to capture opportunity

· Coordinates activities of sales, operations, and support groups to ensure smooth product delivery to customers

· Manage development of go-to-market plans, activities, and materials

· Perform continual assessment of competitive landscape, develops and refines competitive positioning

· Manage monthly/yearly forecasts with analysis of trends, accounts and other demand drivers

· Ensure sales team receives necessary support and channel plans are sustained with appropriate activity

Requirements and Desired Qualifications:

Product Development and Application Knowledge:

· Significant experience in product and/or strategic marketing

· Excellent planning, execution and project-management skills

· Experience leading new product introduction process through successful launch and beyond

· Expert at navigating product development dilemmas

· Skilled at designing and conducting consumer/customer research and applying knowledge to winning product designs

· Proven track record of strategically assessing and improving an existing product category and growing revenue to new levels of profitability

· Familiarity with commercial, residential, and light commercial product applications and their differences as well as an understanding of building products, mechanical, electrical and IoT applications

· Expert knowledge of product features and benefits and ability to deliver them in positioning statements for the appropriate channel

· In-depth understanding of end user product requirements with the ability to identify and eliminate gaps in current products.

Account and Sales Knowledge

· Strong understanding of sales structure, process, channels and their strategies

· Ability to develop strategies that appeal to specific account types

· Familiarity with top customers for product category and targeting major conversions

· Financial and Operations Knowledge

· Command of product category financials and able to develop strategies to drive financial performance

· Strong business acumen with In-depth understanding of sales, gross margin, operating income, SG&A

· Expert understanding of manufacturing process, major suppliers process and capabilities

· Ability to make decisions based upon cost drivers and provide leadership to resolve service level issues
