Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

As a Product Marketing Manager for Google Home, you will be in charge of one of Google's most important of hardware products. In this role, you will be leading core product marketing and strategy for the current and future Google Home/Nest speaker products, as well as a series of software launches that occur throughout the product line's lifecycle. You'll working closely with cross-functional leadership across the hardware organization as well as the Google Assistant team. You'll be driving global launches working with regional and local marketing teams, and also collaborating with our Consumer and Made By Google marketing teams to build a cohesive message around Google's hardware effort.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of product marketing experience in consumer tech, preferably hardware products.


Preferred qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in shaping product roadmaps and user experiences through actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Experience in product branding, messaging, positioning, targeting, and multi-country product launches.
  • Ability to influence all levels and work effectively across functions and geographies.
  • Analytical mindset with effective quantitative reasoning, creativity and strategic skills. Demonstrated ability to think strategically about complex challenges.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; experience successfully collaborating with cross functional teams; strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Track record of exceptional performance and high productivity.
  • - Lead messaging, identity, positioning/value proposition, naming, brand architecture and communication of Google Home/Nest. Partner with cross-functional leadership to drive product roadmap and strategy. - Manage all aspects of marketing for launches of new products. Drive strategy and execution of global launches working closely with regional and local marketing as well as the Go-to-Market cross-functional team. - Develop actionable consumer insights to inform product and marketing strategy through primary research projects and other consumer research techniques. Manage user education and understanding through marketing assets as well as in-product experience. - Act as the source of truth for the Google Nest brand and collaborate on every asset that touches the Google Home/Nest brand across different communication channels such as; consumer marketing, retail marketing, and PR. - Partner closely with Retail Marketing to bring Google Home to life on first and third party online and offline retail channels.
