DataStax is looking for a Product Marketing Manager who can help DataStax to both innovate and grow by leading the Marketing team's tight, integrated relationships with Product Management, Engineering and Sales. The Product Marketing Manager is a strategic thinker who can articulate the DataStax story and capabilities. influence the product direction and roadmap while helping to plan and execute demand generation campaigns designed to dramatically increase the enterprise customer base. In this role, you will drive the internal and external communication of our product value propositions. You will craft relevant, credible and differentiated positioning and messaging for our products and chart the “customer journey”/decision criteria in partnership with our Demand Generation and Communications teams.
Essential Job Functions:
Storytelling - Develop product positioning, value proposition and messaging that differentiate our products in the market.
Sales enablement – Communicate the value proposition of the products to our sales team and develop the sales materials/tools that support the selling process of our products
Product launches – Plan the go-to-market launch strategy for new products and releases, and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan
Market intelligence – Work closely with customers, partners, analysts, journalists/media, and internal DataStax teams to gauge market trends and innovations, and work closely with Product Management / Engineering to ensure the priorities from the market are properly synthesized and included in the roadmap and development schedule
Cross-departmental collaboration – All of the above will be accomplished by having a constant communication flow with internal groups, including most crucially Customer Marketing, Demand Generation, Communications (PR & AR), Product Management, and Sales.
Competitive analysis - Drive competitive analysis and positioning
Key product assets - Develop written & video product assets and provide subject matter expertise & support for demand generation (whitepapers, eBooks, case studies, webinars, event content & support), communications (analyst relations, PR content review) and social media campaigns.
At least 2-5 years of product marketing experience in enterprise software or database technology companies. Bonus: received Pragmatic Marketing training and practiced in the methodology
Track record of success and increasing responsibilities

Should have requirements:
Exceptional knowledge of marketing, sales, and product development processes
Strong project and product management skills
Knowledge of NoSQL databases and ideally Apache Spark or Apache Hadoop
Bachelor’s degree required
Experience working in small, fast-growing technology companies
Technical degree preferred, but not required
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
