ROLE MISSION:SeraCare is seeking a market-oriented Product Marketing Manager (PMM) to drive market positioning and adoption of the Seraseq portfolio of market-leading clinical genomics reference standards targeted for applications such as tumor profiling, liquid biopsy, non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) and inherited disease testing. Primary target customers include global molecular diagnostics companies, next-generation sequencing (NGS) focused platform vendors, assay developers and laboratories implementing clinical assays who are in various stages of assay deployment. With our leading QC tools (reference materials and software), we help customers develop better assays, validate more thoroughly and routinely monitor ongoing performance for accurate patient results and treatment decisions.Working within the strategic product marketing team for the Clinical Genomics Business Unit, the PMM will be specifically responsible for managing and significantly growing the NIPT and certain cancer and immunology focused products. PMM will leverage field sales/applications team interactions and voice of customer to build a sound market understanding and expertise on how SeraCare products can better address customer challenges around QC standardization and assay deployment. The PMM will then translate these market insights to appropriate product requirements and go to market strategy, working in close concert with R&D and MarCom team, to enable and accelerate product sales worldwide. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Science or related discipline), MS and/or MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years technical, marketing or product management experience in a relevant industry (Diagnostics, Pharmaceutical, Research Products)
  • Experience interacting with and understanding customer needs in relevant industry
  • Preferred - Deep understanding of next generation sequencing platforms and workflows and relevant clinical applications (Cancer sequencing, Germline sequencing, Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with customers, sales teams and field applications to develop a deep understanding of customer needs and pain-points across market segments and customer personas
  • Develop and communicate necessary customer and product requirements to R&D, Manufacturing and other stakeholders to ensure timely product launch and availability
  • Become a product expert for the clinical genomics portfolio, and work closely with field applications to provide ongoing training and support for sales teams and distributors
  • Develop a comprehensive profile of existing install base including win-loss analysis to determine critical success factors and value proposition
  • Partner with marketing communications to convert market knowledge and insights into effective marketing content (blogs, whitepapers, ROI tools, etc.)that drives prospects rapidly from awareness to consideration and sale
  • Develop and update all required documentation and content for clinical genomics products
  • Effectively communicate market findings and new opportunities to internal management and stakeholders to help drive appropriate action
  • Able to travel 20% or more as needed
