Summary:

This role spans several product areas within Core App to manage the Search/Profile product lines as well as opportunities across emerging markets to grow, identify new strategies and products to better meet local market needs and cultural nuances. Search and Profile are core components of the Facebook Core App. Facebook Search puts people and their stories at the center. It lets you tap into the global conversation about something that's happening in the world, and helps you find people’s stories and their perspectives. People use Facebook search over 1.5 billion times a day, searching over 1.5 billion people and trillion pieces of shared content, e.g. posts, photos, videos, and links. When Facebook launched in 2004, the main way to interact with other people was to visit their profile. Today, it represents a large part of over 2 billion people's online identities. We're looking for an experienced Consumer Product Marketer to join our marketing team here in Menlo Park. This individual will manage the Search/Profile/Emerging Market work across Core App. The lead of this marketing team is responsible for all elements of marketing this work globally. This includes crafting the overall Facebook narratives, identifying the right product proof points and programs, influence product strategy and lead messaging with insights, and go-to-market planning and execution. Required Skills:

  1. Know the people who use Facebook products and identify opportunities to drive product and key sentiment goals

  2. Develop and leverage quantitative and qualitative insights to influence product and communications strategies and inform go-to-market plans

  3. Develop and implement outbound marketing and advertising strategies and programs to drive consumer awareness and shift perception

  4. Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams (including PR, product, and policy stakeholders) to create integrated marketing moments

  5. Lead and collaborate with external creative agencies to ensure quality, on-time delivery of marketing programs and assets across channels

  6. Be willing and able to flex between strategic and tactical/executional responsibilities

  7. Work with Research & Analytics to generate quantitative and qualitative insights to influence communications strategy and inform go-to-market plans / product positioning so what we're building the most possible value to the end consumer.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BA/BS degree

  2. 15+ years of experience in brand and/or product marketing or related disciplines for internet and/or consumer technology

  3. 5+ years of management experience

  4. Experience in large-scale campaign development working with small- to medium-sized agencies

  5. Analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-oriented mindset

  6. Communication skills

  7. Ability to translate complexity into simple communications and consumer stories

  8. Thrives in a face-paced, entrepreneurial, start-up environment

  9. People leader with management experience

  10. Direct and cross-functional management skills, including demonstrated experience being part of a leadership team

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. MBA

  2. Global marketing experience (brand and product)

  3. Management consulting experience

  4. Experience partnering closely with Product Management on product roadmap and launches

  5. Experiences working with creative agencies and PR/communications
